This character originated as the star of a radio series (1930s to 1950s), and had previously been adapted to movie serials, comic books, and other media.
Playboy bachelor and media mogul Britt Reid is the owner and publisher of the Daily Sentinel newspaper but, as the masked vigilante Green Hornet, he fights crime with the assistance of his martial arts expert partner, Kato, and his weapons-enhanced car, a custom Imperial called the "Black Beauty".

Hi Linda: I have the "Green Hornet" Set, and watch them over and Over. I remember when Batman, and The Green Hornet were prime time television. I grew up with Los Angeles television. I lived On Pinecrest Dr. in Altadena for 15 years. Right next to Mt. Wilson, where all the TV Transmitter Antenna are !! You had the last episode of the Green Hornet. VAMA !! Two Episodes ! It should have lasted longer then one season. I lived in Altadena Ca. for 41 Years !! Have You ever been to Eaton Canyon. I lived 3 houses away!
